Michael Seibold is a freelance contributor at TraderFox and considers himself an investor with a long-term investment horizon.

He pays no attention to forecasts predicting the future but focuses on companies with promising growth prospects.

The stock market is not rational in the short term, as prices can be well below or well above a company's intrinsic value.

With his philosophy, Michael Seibold follows Peter Lynch, an exceptionally talented fund manager:

“Putting money into stocks and counting on having nice profits in a year or two is just like betting on red or black at the casino. What the market’s going to do in one or two years, you don’t know.” (Peter Lynch)

Michael Seibold comes from the southern region of Bavaria. He bought his first stock at the age of 13.

He knew early on that the stock market would have a space in his life. At the age of 16, he began an apprenticeship as a bank clerk.

During this time, he was able to deepen his knowledge and found increasing enjoyment in trading.

He is now active as a trader and investor. Since sports also play a significant role in his life, he has started another training program.

After his bank clerk training, he pursued physiotherapy. He is now also studying osteopathy on the side to gain additional knowledge in the healthcare sector.

The stock market, however, always remains a part of his life, and he continues to engage in it part-time.
