Business Driver: Westlake Chemical (WLK) has focused on the production of polyethylene, chlorine, sodium hydroxide, and other specialties, and can now benefit from higher sales in insulation materials thanks to the improving demand in construction. Through restructuring efforts, such as the closure of some PVC sites in North America, Westlake aims to further optimize its cost base. On December 15, Bank of America confirmed the rating as "Buy," but lowered the price target from $83 to $82.
