ABB: Robotics sold, records delivered - $5.4 billion cash and 36% more orders

The calendar year 2025 was marked for ABB by a particularly significant decision: the spin-off of the robotics division. Instead of a spin-off, in October the company decided to sell the Robotics Division completely to SoftBank Group for approximately $5.4 billion. The funds are expected to flow into the coffers upon completion of the sale in mid to late 2026.
