Amazon's robotaxi subsidiary Zoox has launched paid rides with a fully autonomous vehicle designed without a steering wheel and pedals in Las Vegas. The NHTSA allows for the commercial deployment of up to 2,500 vehicles per year over two years. The startup acquired in 2020 for around 1.2 billion USD is now transitioning into a real commercial business.
