Delta Air Lines makes a splash at the start of the US earnings season. After months of uncertainty, the airline returns with surprisingly solid numbers – and even more importantly: It gives its investors a renewed outlook. Earnings per share in the second quarter were slightly above expectations at $2.10, while revenue climbed to $15.51 billion.
