Disney (NYSE: DIS) has started the fiscal year 2026 with solid revenue growth. Revenues rose by 5% in the first quarter to $26.0 billion, supported by growth in all three segments. However, despite this revenue increase, the operating segment result fell by 9% to $4.6 billion. Consequently, earnings per share decreased slightly: The reported EPS was $1.34 compared to $1.40 in the previous year, and the adjusted EPS fell from $1.76 to $1.63 (market expectations: $1.57).
