Exxon Mobil: Results stronger than expected – also thanks to cost savings

The oil giant Exxon has published its results for the 4th quarter and the entire year of 2024. For the final quarter, the company reported an adjusted profit (non-GAAP) of around 7.4 billion USD (7.6 billion USD according to US-GAAP). This corresponds to an adjusted earnings per share of 1.67 USD, while analysts had expected a more significant decline and projected a profit of 1.55 USD.
