Meta Negotiates Long-Term Use of Google TPUs According to a report from the tech portal The Information , Meta Platforms is negotiating a billion-dollar deal for Google's AI accelerators, known as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). Meta is discussing the possibility of deploying the TPUs in its own data centers starting in 2027. Additionally, there is speculation that Meta could rent TPU computing power via Google Cloud as early as next year. So far, Meta has primarily relied on Nvidia GPUs for training and executing its large AI models like Llama....
