Drastic cuts, clear focus Novo Nordisk announced today a comprehensive restructuring. Approximately 9,000 jobs will be cut worldwide – representing about 11–11.5% of the workforce, with around 5,000 positions to be eliminated in Denmark. The goal is to save around DKK 8 billion (about $1.3 billion) per year – the costs of the restructuring are also estimated at around DKK 8 billion.
