Waymo, the autonomous robotaxi subsidiary of Alphabet, is starting first trials this week in Denver and Seattle. As part of an exploratory phase, Jaguar I-PACE SUVs and new Zeekr-RT vans will be manually deployed in the cities to create road maps, collaborate with local authorities, and ultimately prepare for the launch of fully automated rides.
