I am convinced that Alibaba (i) is making a genuine breakthrough in the global AI race with Qwen3.8-Max. A model with 2.4 trillion parameters, which it claims only falls short of Anthropics' Fable 5, is something I would hardly have expected from a Chinese provider until recently.
