Corning (GLW) supplied the display glass for the first iPhone back in 2007 and continues to provide the advanced "Ceramic Shield.” Apple has now announced an investment of $2.5 billion as part of the American Manufacturing Plan (AMP) for the world's largest production line for smartphone glass. The facility in Harrodsburg, Kentucky is set to operate exclusively for Apple, increasing production capacity by 50%.
