Rolls-Royce benefits from the recovery of the aviation industry, increasing defense spending, and opportunities in the nuclear market. The UK plans to derive 25% of its electricity from nuclear energy by 2050 – a key role for Rolls-Royce through Small Modular Reactors. The largest UK defense contract worth £9 billion will create 1,000 jobs. In 2024, Rolls-Royce achieved an operating profit of £2.5 billion, with expectations of £3.6 to £3.9 billion by 2028. The stock remains moderately valued and is a breakout candidate.
