The hyperscalers have an enormous energy demand, which they partially cover with nuclear power. Amazon is expanding its collaboration and electricity supply contract with Talen Energy. By 2042, Amazon will source around 1.9 GW per year. The electricity will be used for AI and cloud infrastructure. Interestingly, both companies want to expand their production capacities.
