This week, reports circulated that Germany is on the verge of deciding on a gigantic tank order. The government is considering placing an order for 3,500 tanks worth about 25 billion euros. This is expected to include 1,000 battle tanks and 2,500 transport tanks. NATO has asked Germany to provide up to seven additional battle brigades within the next ten years.
