The Trump administration is preparing an import ban on Chinese data center components. Specifically, according to "Reuters," the focus is on optical transceivers – components that connect servers and other systems within a data center via fiber optic cables. The U.S. telecommunications authority FCC is working on the regulation and could publish it sometime in 2026. Already, beneficiaries are being played on the stock market: Coherent is the strongest direct winner. The company would be a possible substitute supplier for Chinese transceivers....
