We had already discussed the shares of the coffee chain Starbucks (SBUX) at the beginning of the week. The company has recently really struggled to achieve sustainable growth. Medium-term plans had fizzled out. Following the further entry of an activist investor, there has just been new news at Starbucks. As of September 9, Brian Niccol will become the new CEO. Niccol is currently Chairman and CEO of Chipotle Mexican Grill. This is a leading company in the quick service restaurant industry, specializing in the preparation of fresh, individually assembled burritos, tacos, salads and bowls. Since becoming CEO in 2018, Niccol has transformed Chipotle. Chipotle\'s revenue has almost doubled during his tenure, profits have increased almost sevenfold, and the share price has risen by almost 800% under his leadership.
Starbucks (ISIN US8552441094): Forward P/E 2024 ratio came back to almost 20, EPS growth is expected to average 13.5% over the next two years. This new news could now really serve as a catalyst for Starbucks.
The share should now be able to pick up again.
