The Tesla stock (TSLA) cannot be valued according to traditional valuation standards. The $600 billion in market capitalization is far too much for a pure manufacturer of electric cars. The fantasy, also with regard to an expansion of market capitalization, lurks in two other areas. First, it would be a pioneering role in autonomous driving and thus the introduction of a robot cab service. Second, Tesla\'s value can increase further if it manages to commercialize the humanoid robot Optimus. AI capabilities are essential for both products.
As confirmed at Tesla\'s AGM on June 13, two of the Optimus robots are already active in the Fremont factory, where they remove cells at the end of production and place them in containers. It is exciting to note that after a revision of the hardware, limited production of Optimus will start at the end of the year. At the same time, Musk assumes that there could be 10 billion humanoid robots, of which Tesla wants to provide a significant proportion. Assuming a 10% market share and sales prices of $20,000, Musk assumes a profit of $1 trillion per year. The ability to have the capacity and resources to build Optimus sets the company apart from the start-ups, as there were previously no supply chains for the components. The aim is to use around a thousand Optimus robots in the company\'s own factories next year. Commercialization is planned for the end of 2025.
As a result, Musk confirmed that humanoid robots represent a gigantic market opportunity that could raise Tesla\'s capitalization to $25 trillion. If Tesla\'s commercialization of Optimus really progresses halfway as planned thanks to its AI capabilities and resources, this should trigger a new rally in the share price. After all, the humanoid robot market will become THE largest market in the world in the long term.
