With 100,000 projects a year in 100 countries, the company serves the US government as well as international development agencies and commercial clients. Significantly, it is also the market leader in water services and water treatment plants, where PFAS pollutant management in the US represents an opportunity of over $200 billion. The EPA is tightening regulations for manufacturing companies and for safe drinking water, and the Labour Party\'s victory in the UK is also providing a tailwind. Chip factories and AI data centers also require ultra-pure drinking water for silicon processing and liquid cooling. These fast-growing sectors are expected to generate revenues of $100 million this year and grow 20% p.a.
The company is also betting on around 200 AI-supported technologies to make consulting more efficient and generate recurring software revenues. RBC Capital raised its price target from $233 to $259 (Outperform) after record Q3 sales and sees only short-term risks from a possible Republican election victory with lower spending on environmental protection. Tetra Tech recorded new orders of $2 billion in the last quarter and the highest total order backlog in the company\'s history at +19% to $5.23 billion. Significant was a 439 million $ five-year order to strengthen the energy infrastructure in Ukraine.
At the first Investor Day on May 14, the growth targets up to 2030 were announced with an increase in sales of 10-15% p.a. and annual increases in the EBITDA margin of at least 50 basis points. In the current financial year 2024, the upper end is likely to be reached after a forecast increase with growth of 15% and a net profit increase of 23%. The share has so far ignored the correction on the market as a whole and is listed as number 1 in the growth check at its all-time high
