Verbio (A0JL9W) finally jumped on May 14, 2024, as it announced the prospect of a strong Q4 after a very weak Q3. Biodiesel imports from China are slowing considerably. In addition, the new plant in Nevada should benefit from increasing capacities and GHG premiums should improve again.
The new plant in Nevada, which is the first industrial plant to couple the production of biomethane and bioethanol, should see a 30% increase in capacity utilization. Full capacity utilization is targeted within six to 12 months. A significant competitive advantage and correspondingly positive earnings contributions are expected. This could create growth potential, especially as the expansion to combined bioethanol-biomethane production will also be launched in South Bend in May 2024. This concept makes it possible to process various agricultural raw materials at one site, thereby achieving economies of scale, more intensive use of raw materials and lower energy consumption. The biomethane can be fed into the natural gas grid and used as a biofuel or energy source for industrial applications. The resulting fertilizer and humus also benefit agriculture.
H&A confirmed its "buy" rating today. The target was raised from 44 euros to 46 euros. There is potential for doubling. The Verbio share should now have bottomed out and consolidate the recent upward trend with an improved outlook.
